This was our first and probably last experience with Long Horn Steak House. Perhaps next time she will think twice before she steals the food off someone's table before they are finished with it. I kept her tip to pay for the stolen appetizers and the missing loaf of bread. Our check totaled $80 for the two of us and the 15% tip alone amounted to 12 bucks. She had left the check for us already and dollar amounts were spelled out for a 20%, 18%, or 15% recommended tip. She brought us boxes and while we were trying to open them she took our appetizers and iced tea. Upon finishing our meal we asked for go boxes to take the rest home. We ordered two appetizers and while they were very good, the portions were very small. Every other table in this restaurant was served a beautiful loaf of bread to eat with their meal. I finally flagged down one of her male cohorts who gave us straws. She started out well, but didn't offer us straws for our ice tea and when I tried to ask for them, she walked away not paying a bit of attention to me. Christmas Eve we decided to give it a try since Cracker Barrel was closed. I have long been told that the Longhorn Steakhouse in Joplin is one of the best. it would have made it somewhat better if the manager at least acted as mortified as I was! It’s a big 0 for me. He said the cheese they use has paper between the slices. but would not have been useful to me as I believe tonight is my last trip there. They actually should have compensated more. As my stomach had turned, Ni, I didn’t want ANYTHING to munch on. he ask if he could get me a salad to munch on. Rather flippantly he said it embarrassed him. That was it! Luckily the manager came walking by. B/C I was thinking paper.She said, “That’s Paper!”
I then ask my sister what she thought it was. We went in for an early dinner, I ordered Shaved Prime Rib sandwich.
